Το Συμβούλιο ενέκρινε σήμερα επίσημα τον προϋπολογισμό της ΕΕ για το 2026. Ο προϋπολογισμός ορίστηκε κατόπιν διαπραγματεύσεων με το Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο, οι οποίες κατέληξαν σε συμφωνία στις 15 Νοεμβρίου 2025.

Το Συμβούλιο εξέδωσε σειρά αποφάσεων για τη θέσπιση τριών μέτρων συνδρομής στο πλαίσιο του Ευρωπαϊκού Μηχανισμού για την Ειρήνη προς στήριξη της Ιορδανίας, της Λαϊκής Δημοκρατίας του Κονγκό και του Τσαντ.

Τα μέτρα αυτά αποσκοπούν να ενισχύσουν τις ικανότητες των δικαιούχων χωρών σε στρατιωτικά και αμυντικά ζητήματα, με στόχο να προωθήσουν την εγχώρια ανθεκτικότητα και ειρήνη.
