In his speech opening the plenary session, he reaffirmed Europe’s commitment to clear climate goals and expressed solidarity with those most at risk. He stressed the need for strong multilateral action to address the climate emergency.

Neuvoston puheenjohtajamaa ja Euroopan parlamentin neuvottelijat pääsivät alustavaan yhteisymmärrykseen ehdotuksesta edistää puolustukseen liittyviä investointeja EU:n budjetissa niin kutsutun ReArm Europe -suunnitelman toteuttamiseksi.
